Eluma Alerts immediately notify you when new items get published in any RSS or podcast feeds for which you have enabled alerts. These alerts come directly to your desktop even if the Eluma Desktop window is closed. When a new item is published in an alerted feed, a notification window comes up from the bottom of the screen and, unless you intervene, closes automatically after 5 seconds.
To enable alerts for a feed, right-click on the feed in the navigation pane and select "Alert Me!" To disable them, right-click and choose "Disable Alerts."
You may change the way alerts are displayed in the General tab of the Eluma Settings window.
